Overview of Changes for 2026
New Offerings for 2026
New Prescription Drug Plan through RxBenefits/OptumRx
Beginning 1/1/2026, Catalina will be switching our prescription drug provider from CVS Caremark to RxBenefits + OptumRx. RxBenefits brings you greater discounts, better access, and improved member services. If you are enrolled in one of Catalina’s medical plans, or plan to enroll in one during Open Enrollment, you will receive a new ID card for your new prescription drug plan. There will be minimal formulary changes. Letters of non-coverage will go out in advance of the new plan year. Register with RxBenefits for all Rx support. Register with OptumRx to order prescriptions and locate network pharmacies.
New Dental Insurance Carrier through Delta Dental
Beginning 1/1/2026 and due to a steep 16.8% renewal with Aetna, Catalina will begin offering dental insurance through Delta Dental with the same plan design. When comparing networks, Delta Dental placed higher than Aetna on access to covered dentists. There will be a slight increase in dental premiums, but significantly less than staying with Aetna Dental. Information regarding the transition of orthodontic coverage and ongoing treatments can be found on My Catalina Benefits.
New Telehealth Provider through CVS Virtual Care
Beginning 1/1/2026, Catalina will switch from Teladoc to CVS Virtual Care for telemedicine services. Dermatological visits are now covered as a general health visit versus a specialist visit. Available 24/7/365. HSA participants pay $55/visit for 24/7 Care (general health) until their deductible is met. $0 after that. Traditional PPO participants pay $0/visit for 24/7 Care. Mental Health services ranging from $85 - $215/visit are also available for adults and children aged 13+. Click here to get care now.
Other 2026 Benefit Plan Updates
Medical plan rates are changing in 2026
Open Enrollment is a great time to use Catalina’s decision-support tool to help you assess which Catalina medical plan is right for you. Based on your answers to a 5-minute questionnaire, the tool ranks the plans based on highest value to lowest total cost for the services you need. New this year, you can upload your spouse’s medical plan’s SBC, and the tool will compare the spouse’s plan against Catalina’s medical plans as well. Visit FLIMP Decisions to get started.

Supplemental Employee Life Insurance Increase during Open Enrollment w/o EOI
Employees currently enrolled in supplemental employee life insurance can increase their coverage by 1x their annual salary, not to exceed a total coverage of the Guaranteed Issue limit, or $600,000, without answering any health questions. Higher amounts elected, new applicants (late entrants), and previously declined applicants will need to provide proof of good health (EOI).
Dependent Eligibility Verification Process
Catalina conducts dependent eligibility verifications for newly added dependents. Following the close of Open Enrollment, you will be provided with further instructions on how to verify your newly added dependent, if applicable. Employees who have previously verified their dependent(s) will not need to repeat the process. Employees adding new dependents during Open Enrollment will be required to provide verifying documents, such as birth certificates, marriage licenses, etc., by a specified date. Please prepare by locating necessary documents in advance.
As a reminder, eligible dependents include your spouse/domestic partner, natural or adopted children, stepchildren and any other children you support for whom you are the legal guardian or for whom you are required to provide coverage as a result of a QMCSO.
If any dependents are not eligible for Catalina’s plans, please contact Catalina Benefits.
